Advanced Analytics v2 for SkyTrak Instructions

You have 6,584 shots in your AA v2 database.

IMPORTING DATA

From your SkyTrak range app, export one or more sessions to CSV file format. If you're on a PC, SkyTrak should show you the folder those files were saved to immediately after exporting them. If you're on an iPad, the SkyTrak app will email you the files (you must have the Mail app configured and working on your iPad). From your email client on the iPad or a PC, you can download the files from the original email to the location of your choice.

Once you have your exported .csv session files, upload them into AA by clicking the top left green button "Upload Session File(s)" - you may select multiple session files at once. Alternatively, if you're on a PC or Mac, you can drag one or more session files onto this web page for auto-upload.

USING AA

AA loads the last two years shot data by default. Next to the date range selector at the top, you'll see a row of Club buttons, which represent the clubs you used for the shot data loaded. The first club (usually D, or Driver) is selected by default. You can change to any other club at any time by clicking on other available club buttons.

To change the date range, click the date field to the left of the club selection buttons. You'll see shortcuts to select Today, Last 7 Days, Last Month, Last 6 Months, and Last Year. You can also set a Custom Range by clicking any two dates in the calendar, then clicking the Apply button.

The main graph shows a time series of all shots taken with the selected club. Each green dot is a shot, and you'll notice that multiple shots in one session are displyed as a vertical group of dots. The dotted grey line is the linear regression of all displayed shots (think of it as a trend line). You can zoom into any region of the main graph by clicking and dragging a rectangle around the shots that interest you. To zoom out, double-click anywhere on the graph.

The top-down graph to the right of the main graph (at the bottom on mobile) shows you your shots from above, letting you see sidespin effects, and may be toggled to show either Carry or Total distance.

Clicking on any green shot dot, whether on the main graph or the top-down view, will select that shot and display its stats in the first line of the shot data table.

The Shot Data table below the main graph shows you all the stats for the currently visible shots, including Average, Minimum, Maximum, and Standard Deviation values. Standard Deviation represents the range in which 68.2% of your shots fell compared to the Average value. For example, if your Average 8-iron carry is 150, and the Standard Deviation is 5, then you know that 68.2% of your shots carried between 145 and 155.

*SkyTrak does not measure any club data. Shot Data column headers marked with an asterisk (*) are calculated club data stats based on the measured ball data, and those calculations assume center-face ball contact. Looking at these values in aggregate (the Average row in the shots data table) is usually a fairly accurate picture of what your club is doing though impact. Looking at club data on any single shot may be misleading, especially if contact was significantly off center (when gear effect is in full-force).

If you're using an older version of SkyTrak software (v3.3.2 or older), Advanced Analytics v1 may still be accessed here.
